Our steaks are USDA, Midwest corn fed beef, cut thick and charbroiled over a cracklin almond wood fire. Our signature items, such as slow-roasted Joe’s Steak, Railroad Camp Shrimp and the to-die-for homemade Nevada Cheesecake are favorites our guests crave and are only available at Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse. History

In 1993, the concept of Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse was born. The vision was to design a restaurant around the legendary chef, Tahoe Joe, from the Lake Tahoe region during the glorious mining days of the 1870’s.The atmosphere in a Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse would be of a first rate ski lodge in the mountains. The menu would offer the finest flavors in Sierra Mountain Dining. Tahoe Joe’s chefs would take the time and trouble to use old fashioned cooking techniques such as wood fire grilling and slow roasting to prepare some of the best tasting food this side of the Sierra Nevadas. Tahoe Joe used only the finest quality ingredients and so would his restaurants. Finally, guests would be made to feel like a friend and treated to an always great dining experience. Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse opened its first location in West Fresno to an eagerly awaiting public in January of 1996. When the doors opened, guests delighted in the atmosphere, food and Enlightened Hospitality they would have found at Tahoe Joe’s own home . . . and the rest, as they say, is history. The company has grown throughout the Central Valley of California. Tahoe Joe’s continues to build upon its foundation by providing guests with quality menu selections prepared with care and presented with pride in a wonderfully warm atmosphere. Today guests enjoy the award-winning food, the Enlightened Hospitality the whole Sierra Mountain Dining experience.
